Fermentation of food & drink is an ancient art and a necessary skill to maintain a healthy, balanced gut – turning ordinary vegetables, fruit and water into a healthy, tasty & probiotic food is the ultimate quest for the Food Alchemist.

Join April Danann, a Food Scientist and Naturopathic Nutritionist and an expert in wild fermentation techniques, for a day in the Taste Health Kitchen reconnecting to the finer points of nourishing your soul.

During this practical workshop you will be introduced to several methods of fermenting foods, various means of increasing nutritional content and bioavailability of nutrients as well as how to create exquisite tasting high vibration tonics. Included are complete notes, your own sourdough starter to take home, loads of tastings and samples of food that is Alive!

Re-Wilding Afternoon in West Cork (near Skibbereen)

Come and walk, talk and listen to nature as April leads you on an outside afternoon in the forest. Too much of our lives as women has been spent inside, this has got to be the biggest fundamental change to make in your life this coming year; because going outside will have the most impact.

What will shift in me today, if I spend an hour outside? Perhaps those answers I have been seeking are indeed out there! In the garden and the forest, the land has a story to tell. We can gather herbs to make tea or syrups and discuss ancient healing ceremony and rituals.

During this class you will identify some local plants and trees, run through puddles, dig in the ground, plant seeds and listen to the earth using your intuition. Your learning outcome will be more peace and contentment, aligning with your purpose and boosting your immune system. How am I going to ever be who I am meant to be, if I don’t re-discover my roots?

I no longer want to be the lady of the house, I want to be the wild thing in the forest…..

April is delighted to offer this workshop again this summer, on Wednesday 14th August; Intuition for Health, Business & Life. It’s about accessing our own intuition that may have got lost in the mayhem of everyday living. We all have this six sense of knowing what’s right for us (and what’s not), but modern living encourages a more mental approach to figuring things out and the value of tuning in to our intuition is at best overlooked and at worst scorned. April has programmed Intuition for Health, Business & Life workshop to coincide with the imminent New Moon solar eclipse to enhance our connection with nature and therefore ourselves.

The workshop takes place up in the hills in Caheragh above Skibbereen in West Cork on Wednesday 14th August from 10.30am until 4.30pm. All notes, a workbook and an organic lunch is included.
