Spiritual Detox

Spiritual detox is a term that I have been mulling over for quite some time - long before I even had much of an idea where this path would take me. I remember as recently as a year ago, trying to get at buried toxins that just seemed to be far more stuck than others and wondering why this was so.

Of course as time moved on and I kept moving forward with the Master Cleanses and fasting, I moved far more deeply into my own body than I ever have before. The one thing that became clear to me ( I have mentioned it here several times) is that these wounds of the spirit are by far the most profound.

Why Is This So Difficult?

I have spoken with a few people over these past few weeks and there seems to be one main theme amongst those who are trying to walk a spiritual path - that this is hard and perhaps it has gotten harder over the last while.

Right now there just seems to be so many opposing forces within each of us and of course swirling around us that are attempting to derail people on their journey. In many instances these forces succeed at least for a time as we can often become side tracked by situations and drama.

7 Spiritual Habits

Each day there are many of us who are attempting to walk the path of higher spiritual knowledge and often we are doing this quite in the dark and of course, alone. Mostly this is a solitary path or one to be undertaken with your spiritual partner or soul family but even then you will often find yourselves on your own.

Over these years of intense focus on walking the talk and living this way, as a family we have learned a number of important things - often these truths are so vital to how we approach this journey that to do something differently would cause us to stop or slow down. And what is far worse, when we don't pay attention to detail, this can cause confusion.

Think about it...

Today is the 4th of July which doesn't mean so much to me not being from the US, however, it is a well known holiday the world over and it has everything to do with freedom or at least the concept of freedom for many people.

But what does being free really mean and why should it be so important to us, especially those of us walking a path to higher consciousness? As usual when I am investigating a word I look it up - and here is some of what I found for the word freedom or free.

Even with all the rain...

Even with all of the rain, each day is good for something and today is no exception. The energy is clear and undisturbed right now with movement coming in short waves and bursts, like popping balloons.

This might make us feel a little jumpy or anxious at times, however it is all part of the bigger process of changes that are underfoot. The one difficult thing is to remain grounded during these shifts as some can feel quite literally lifted off of their feet.

Suffering, Crime and Punishment

What exactly does suffering have to do with us? As therapists, healers, energy workers or even as human beings? And why would we think that this suffering leads us any where but to more negativity - just whose concept is this?

When I look up the definition of suffering - I come across something very interesting; it is described as pain in a broad sense but more importantly fear, unpleasantness and aversion with the perception of harm being done to the individual. This is far more serious stuff than an association with things being a little difficult for us simply because we chose a tougher path.

Good Morning...

This weekend is usually known around the world as Mid Summer and St. John's Eve as it has to do with the changing seasons, solstice and to mark the summer growing season in a significant way. One thing that might not be very well known, but is an obvious link here, is to water.

And of course anything to do with water interests me greatly as I have long found that this substance is the number one healer, changer, shifter and the most grounded food on the planet. So, what are the links to water?

Experiencing Other Worlds

No matter what your beliefs, most of us would be aware that there is such a strong pull in us as human beings, a drawing in to other worlds, realms and dimensions. These I would call the spaces in-between - which exist inside of us as well as outside of us.

There is no better place to experience these other worlds than in the garden - with the fairies, gnomes and tree spirits. They are everywhere and I have been seeing them and listening to them for as long as I am here on this earth. I have so many pleasant memories of these beings throughout my life and the mystery has only deepened the more work that I do on myself.

Has Anything Really Changed?

I have not paid that much attention to news for quite some time - and I find that I can not read anything for about a year or so, go back to look over a few headlines and ---- not one single thing has changed. In many instances not even the names are different. Yet we go on, day after day, sucking it all in and believing every word.

One day a long time ago now, I woke up (parts of me are waking up all the time) with regards to the 'news' and realized that when we are told day after day how bad things are, how high the murder rate is, how sensational a court case might be, how the banks have stolen all the money and there is not one thing anyone can do about it- it leaves us all feeling quite powerless.

Down the Road in Darkness

Today it is raining again and it is quite dull outside. Not a great day for getting out into the garden. The energy around feels heavy, old and dark. I have been thinking it over for the few hours this morning since I have been up.

Perhaps it is something that has come back with me from my dreams - it felt as if I was somewhere very far away last night and my dreams have changed since I finished my last Master Cleanse. They seem to be less about other people and more about me - at least I feature in them far more than I did before.
